Kulgam, Feb 25, KNT: A large number of locals here in South Kashmir’s Kulgam village participated in the cremation of a local non-Muslim today.

Local sources told news agency Kashmir News Trust that a local non-Muslim passed away after brief illness at Kakran village of Kulgam.

They identified the deceased as 89 year old Rajput Surinder Singh. Local Muslims arranged required stuff for the cremation of Singh.

“Everybody in the village mourned his death. He was native of this village who didn’t migrate from the Kakran hamlet,” said his neighbour Ghulam Rasool. (KNT)
