Police register case after miscreants ransack Science Laboratory in Shopian School

Shopian, May 31, KNT: Unknown miscreants ransacked the Science Laboratory in a Government Higher Secondary School here in South Kashmir’s Shopian district, prompting police to register a formal case and investigate the matter.

Sources told news agency KNT that unknown persons barged into the Science Laboratory at Government Higher Secondary School Mantribugh area of Shopian and caused damage to maximum extent to the equipments.

A police official said that Principal Government Higher Secondary school Mantribug Shopian approached police station Shopian stating that the damage to maximum items in Science Laboratory of said Higher Secondary School has been caused either by thieves or miscreants during night hours.

A police team rushed to spot to ascertain the facts. A case in this regard has been registered and investigation set into motion.

When contacted Principal Government Higher Secondary School Mr Anayatullah said that miscreants or burglars have caused great damaged to equipments at Science Laboratory. “It is still not known, why the Laboratory was ransacked and how miscreants entered into it. I have lodged a complaint at Police Station and hopefully, the culprits will be identified and booked,” he told KNT.
