Wood cutter dies after falling from tree Girl tries to end life in Bandipora

Srinagar, June 15, KNT: A wood cutter died in South Kashmir’s Anantnag district after he tried to cut the branch of a tree that was an obstacle in laying an electric wire.

Police sources told news agency KNT a wood cutter from Valiloo Kokarnag climbed a willow tree to cut a branch, but sipped from the tree. He was shifted to Sub district Hospital Dooru, where he succumbed to his injuries.

A Police official identified the deceased as 50 year old Muhammad Maqbool Malik.

Meanwhile, an 18 year old girl from Malangpora area of North Kashmir’s Bandipora district tried to end her life by consuming poison. She was shifted to District Hospital where her condition is stated to be critical. (KNT)
