Srinagar, June 4, KNT: Sub-District Hospital Hazratbal here in Srinagar outskirts Friday vehemently refuted the allegations that a Security Guard does vaccination of people in the hospital.
Terming the allegations baseless and unfortunate, Block Medical Officer Hazratbal Dr Hashmat Sultana said that the job of a security guard is to maintain discipline and not to vaccine people.
“An observer, a vaccinator and others remain present when the people are being inoculated at any hospital. So, its out of question to assign the job of vaccination to a security guard who barely knows anything about the vaccination process,” Dr Hashmat Sultana told news agency Kashmir News Trust.
She said the staff at SDH Hazratbal works with dedication and have participated in so many vaccination drives. “It is not fair to defame those health workers who work tirelessly in this ongoing pandemic,” Dr Hashmat Sultana said.
Pertinently, BJP yesterday had issued a press statement alleging that a security guard at SDH is doing vaccination of people. (KNT)
