Police recover looted cash from 2 robbers in South Kashmir

Kulgam, Feb 24, KNT: Police in South Kashmir’s Kulgam district arrested two robbers and recovered looted cash from their possession.

A police official told KNT that a written complaint was received at Police Post Frisal from the complainant namely Ghulam Muhammad Dar of Chermarag Zainapora stating that on 11th February after withdrawal of Rs 25000 from Punjab National Bank Frisal he was returning back towards home when two masked men intercepted him and threw throw Chilly Powder in his eyes after that they looted an amount of Rs 35,700 from him and fled away.

The official said police swung into action and registered an FIR vide number 8/2021 under section 392 at Police Station Yaripora. A special team was constituted to nab the culprits. “With strenuous efforts and by using all available means both the robbers were arrested and looted cash was recovered from them.”

The official identified the accused as whose identity has been ascertained as Suhail Salam Dhobi and Nisar Dar alias Nazir Canal, both residents of Frisal Kulgam. (KNT)
