Srinagar: The Jammu and Kashmir Awami National Conference has supported the Bandh Call given by trader’s body on September 22 against the setting up of 100 retail outlets by Reliance company in Jammu.
The ANC today announced its support to the Jammu Bandh on September 22, called by the Chamber of Commerce and Industry against the alleged “anti-trade and anti people moves of the BJP led administration.”
“The Awami National Conference has all along stood for safeguarding the interests of Jammu and Kashmir and will continue so with all its might”, ANC Sr Vice President Mr Muzzafar Shah said in a statement issued from New Delhi to the media.
The ANC Sr VP expressed the hope that the administration will stop in its anti-business and anti-poor policies and refrain from such anti people actions smacking of dictatorship & take corrective measures, rather than repeatedly taking actions that hurt the overall interests of the people of Jammu and Kashmir.
Rollback these ill conceived decisions which are against the basic interests of trade and commerce, said Mr Muzzafar Shah.
The Awami National Conference Provincial president Sardar Gyan Singh & the ANC Jammu province leadership extended full support and solidarity with the small, medium and self-employed shopkeepers, retail traders, who have given call for total Bandh on September 22 in entire Jammu province. We are in protest against the opening of 100 Reliance Stores here that will snatch livelihood of thousands & break the back bone of poor business class of Jammu region.
The ANC will extend all possible support & expresses solidarity with all the agitating organisations of Jammu province
