Srinagar:Jammu&Kashmir Anjuman Sharie Shian’s President Aga Syed Hassan Mosavi Al-Safavi completed 1 year under detention
In a statement Spokesperson of Anjuman Sharie Shian said that President Aga Syed Hassan Mosavi Al-Safavi remains under continuous house arrest since 3rd Augest’2019. His continuous arrest has affected Social, Religious, Educational and Jurisprudential activities of Anjuman Sharie Shian. Every expired person has right to be said last prayer by the clerk of his choice and it is religious prerogative of the community to make sure the will is kept by providing such cleric. Being most senior and widely followed cleric Aga Syed Hassan is not allowed to attend to such ceremonies that also causes deprivation of the last rights of the deceased Muslim and also cases distress to his family.
Since Augest’2019 he has been barred to lead Friday Prayers at Central Imam Bargha Budgam. Similarly, Muharram 2019 was criminalised and forcefully banned. The People who attemted to take out procession where brutalised, attacked and threatened. It also includes Anjuman’s Aga Syed Mujtaba Abbas who was forced to house detention. Women mourners were harassed by the forces in different parts of Kashmir where processions were scheduled by the organisation.
On 28th September’2019 when mysterious fire broke at the residence his followers were not allowed to express solidarity. With continuous detention he has developed multiple aliments.
Jammu&Kashmir Anjuman Sharie Shian strongly condemns this unjust and arbitrary house detention and demand for early release of the Leader.
