2 soldiers killed, 4 injured in Pakistan firing in North Kashmir

Kupwara, Oct 1, KNT: Two Indian army soldiers were killed in an exchange of heavy fire with the Pakistan army in Naugam Sector long Line of Control (LoC) in North Kashmir’s Kupwara district.

Reliable sources told KNT that four soldiers also sustained injuries in the exchange of fire.

Sources said that two sides exchanged fire resulting in the death of two Indian soldiers and injuries to four others.

All the injured soldiers have been evacuated to hospital for advanced treatment.

A senior police officer confirmed the death of two soldiers and injuries to 4 others. He identified the slain soldiers as Havaldar Kuldeep of Unit 15 Sikh Light Infantry and Rifleman Shubham from Unit 8 JAK Rifles.

Artillery firing was going on till the filing of this report. (KNT)
