‘Police officer in isolation tests 2nd time negative’

Srinagar, April 3, KNT: The re-confirmation test for top police officer who had gone into isolation after his mother-in-law was tested positive for Coronavirus, has been found negative.

   Senior Superintendent of Police, Imtiaz Ismail Parray, whose mother-in-law from Khanyar area of Srinagar city, became the first positive case of Coronavirus in the Valley on March 18 last month had quarantined himself although he had no direct contact with her mother-in-law after her return from Saudi Arabia.

  “Both the tests of the police officer have been found negative. Earlier, his first test turned out to be negative and for re-confirmation his samples were taken and again his test was found negative,” Head of Department Chest Disease Hospital Dr Naveed Shah told Kashmir News Trust.

   Pertinently, the mother-in-law of the officer was discharged from the SKIMS Soura after her recovery from the lethal Covid-19 infection. The elderly woman was declared positive and henceforth discharged from the hospital. (KNT)
